Adaptogenic herbs are a group of plants that help to fight fatigue, boost immunity, and rejuvenate + rebalance the body & mind. They work by helping the body adapt to stress and have the ability to help support, sustain, and heal our nervous systems, which can become overworked due to chronic stress. Adaptogens are also beneficial in restoring a sense of femininity due to their role in helping to rebalance the hormones. They’re ideal ingredients to include in tonics and elixirs specifically formulated for women.

Nourishing our bodies with balanced meals, quiet time, and plenty of sleep is essential to feeling our best - however, since we’re often lacking in one or more of these areas, we can benefit from calling in outside support.

There are many different types of adaptogens - some are calming, while others are uplifting and energizing. They can help to brighten the spirit, provide energy and an overall boost, and renew and restore the body. Many adaptogens are modulators, meaning that they can help the body to recalibrate and find balance. All adaptogens support the regeneration of the adrenal glands, two small glands atop the kidneys that produce hormones that regulate our metabolism, blood pressure, and stress response. The adrenal glands help our body move through injuries, illnesses, and the stresses of daily life.

This tonic helps to rejuvenate the body, keeps the immune system strong and replenishes sex drive and desire.

Chaga

Its antiviral properties offer protective support against harsh skin blemishes. It also helps to reduce inflammation in the body.

Maca

balance, energy, spirit

Maca’s primary mechanism of action increases sex hormone secretion and adrenal gland stimulation. This herb is powerful for balancing hormones. Maca root has a centuries-long reputation for being a powerful aphrodisiac, and its traditional use is as a fertility enhancer for females. Maca can also help manage menopause symptoms - it reduces hot flashes, sleep disruptions, night sweats, and depression.

Ashwagandha

vitality, restoration, rejuvenation

This adaptogenic herb improves resistance to stress and helps to manage cortisol production, supporting the aging process. Ashwagandha strengthens the endocrine system by encouraging hormone balance. It supports sexual health and vitality, and increases sexual potency by increasing blood flow and reducing body tension. This allows women to experience an increase in desire and satisfaction. Ashwagandha is also a fantastic herb for reducing menopausal symptoms such as hot flashes, anxiety, and impaired mood.
